STUDY OF SINGLE VEHICLE RURAL ACCIDENTS: ROAD GEOMETRY DATA DESCRIPTION REPORT
The Victorian rural accident study was initiated to study single vehicle accidents on rural roads. South eastern Victoria was chosen as the study area. Large amounts of data were collected from the selected roads in the study area including a description of road geometry, both vertical and horizontal, for the selected roads. These data have been transferred to magnetic computer tape and are stored at the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB). This report describes the form and extent of the data collected. The data were collected for the rural accident study but are now available for other users. Copies of the data tapes can be obtained from the Australian Road Research Board. A fee will be charged and it is recommended that any letter requesting such a tape include a completed copy of the request form attached as appendix C. (Author/TRRL)
