EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF REINFORCED-EARTH WALL ---PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON THEORY AND PRACTICE OF EARTH REINFORCEMENT, FUKUOKA, KYUSHU, JAPAN, 5-7 OCTOBER 1988
Using a large number of model and full scale test data, the force acting upon the reinforced earth wall was analysed, as were wall deformation characteristics. A design and analysis method for reinforced earth walls was presented. No details of the test methods were provided. It was found that due to the limitations of the data collected, the method was only appropriate for retaining walls less than 10 metres high. For the covering abstract of the symposium see IRRD 818063.
