FRENCH TECHNOLOGY
An alternative to the thermal neutron analysis explosives detection device developed in the United States has been developed in France. This new device called "Eden" which claims to be the most powerful system available at present capable of processing some 1200 items per hour with a very low false alarm rate is detailed. Also presented are upgrades to Egypt's air traffic control system using Thomson CSF, Siraga's stair and water service vehicle, Charlatte's new electric tractor, continuing demand for Babb's 500 series jet air starter, telescopic platforms which reduce paint jobs by four days, baggage handling systems and contracts, and more.
