LATERAL DEFLECTION OF SLENDER REINFORCED CONCRETE COLUMNS UNDER SUSTAINED LOAD
This paper presents the development of a simple expression to estimate the lateral deflection of slender reinforced concrete columns under sustained load. The proposed expression shows good correlation with test data. The importance of lateral deflection with respect to the serviceability of slender columns designed in accordance with the ACI Building Code is also discussed.
