UMTA'S ENTREPRENEURIAL SERVICES CHALLENGE GRANT PROGRAM: HELPING TO FUND YOUR SERVICE EXPANSION
The Urban Mass Transportation Administration's Entrepreneurial Services Challenge Grant Program which provides seed money or start-up funds to private operators for the provision of public transportation services is described as to concept, eligibility requirements and application procedures. Also discussed are the technical assistance program offered by the International Taxicab Association to both members and nonmembers to help them prepare a concept and proposal for these grants and actual grant programs offered by Alpine Taxi/Limo, Steamboat Springs, Colorado and South Carolina State College, Orangeburg, South Carolina.
