KOPPERS, CR AND PPL: MAKING "COGEN" WORK
The disposal of wooden cross ties has been a problem which has been getting worse in recent years. Details of the disposal process and how Conrail, Koppers and the Pennsylvania Power and Light Co. may have found a solution to this disposal problem by converting the ties into electric power, are given.
