AGC CONTRACT DOCUMENT SERVICES
Today's construction contractors face business situations of a legal intricacy undreamed of by their predecessors. The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) has responded to the needs of its members and the construction community as a whole by producing a comprehensive group of documents for public and private work under a variety of contractual procedures. Standard form contracts save the parties to an agreement the effort and cost of producing custom contracts from scratch. These standard forms are reliable, and their use produces predictable results while facilitating modifications for a specific project. This article describes the AGC's Contract Documents Committee and its goals, along with the documents it prepares.
