CURRENT FLOAT TECHNIQUES FOR RESOURCES SCHEDULING

A new concept is defined which links a particular time of decision making (on resources scheduling) to the latest finish time of activity in the original network time analysis. The current float is related to the actual total float of the activity in the status network that is valid at that time. This concept can be used for formulating an heruistic model that can carry out resources scheduling, and it can be demonstrated that the output of the model is the same as that of the better-known total float model. The current float model relieves the task of having to construct and perform computations on what can result in a significantly large number of status networks.
