NISSAN'S LOW-NOISE FULL-SCALE WIND TUNNEL
The paper describes the main features of a wind tunnel facility now in operation at the nissan technical centre. Details are also given of specifications and performance features, as well as the results of experiments carried out at the facility. The wind tunnel is a closed-circuit type with a semi-open test section equipped with two different nozzles depending on the type of testing required, at speeds of either 190kph or 270kph. It is intended that the facility will enable automobiles to be developed that are more comfortable, safer and economical. For the covering abstract see IRRD 819832.
