THE ROAD USER AND THE LAW. THE GOVERNMENT'S PROPOSALS FOR REFORM OF ROAD TRAFFIC LAW
This white paper sets out the United Kingdom government's response to the report of the road traffic law review, which was carried out by a committee chaired by dr peter North (see IRRD 811567). The white paper contains a wide variety pf proposals to improve the structure of road traffic law, to increase its public acceptability, and to make it operate more simply and effectively. Sections are provided on: road traffic offences; penalties; the use of new technology for law enforcement; and the implementation of the law.
