EFFECTS OF PLASTICITY AND SAMPLE DISTURBANCE ON STATISTICAL PROPERTIES OF UNDRAINED SHEAR STRENGTH

The statistical properties of undrained shear strength are investigated by means of laboratory and in situ tests. In the laboratory, a series of unconfined compression tests and triaxial uu tests are performed on mixed soil samples. In the field a comparative study is made of disturbed and undisturbed samples. Findings and test methods are described.
