FREIGHT TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION YEARBOOK

This handbook, which is published annually, contains information about United Kingdom and international legislation of relevence to freight transport operators. Sections are provided on: a) the law governing road transport operations. This section details the various legislative requirements which govern the operation of motor vehicles and trailers as well as the rules for drivers. A list of the acts and regulations relating to each specific topic is given at the beginning of each chapter; B) insurance; c) industrial relations and health and safety; D) the law governing overseas operations; and d) the law governing specific vehicles. A list of useful addresses such as those for the goods vehicle testing centres, tachographic calibration and fitment centres, and the freight transport association offices, national council and committees is also provided.
