NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY BEGINS PROGRAM FOR OLDER DRIVERS

The New York Thruway Authority recently announced a plan to upgrade some of the facilities on the 559 mile superhighway that will particularly benefit older drivers. The program will include brighter signs, wider pavement markings and better roadside delineators. In addition, toll plaza lighting will be increased and drivers will be given longer advance notice of exits.
