BIG JOB BECAME FIRM'S "LAUNCHING PAD"

Case International Company, undertook the project to build the foundation for an addition to a power plant at Crystal River, Florida, a project which grew to become the biggest caisson installation in the nation to date, with a price tag of $25 million. It was completed in 1981. With money from the Florida project, the company diversified into slurry wall construction, earth retention and foundation underpinning. Case International is one of three companies in the Case Group, with headquarters in Roselle, Illinois. Annual sales for Case Group total about $140 million. Case International today has 23 specialized drill rigs, the largest fleet of crane-mounted drill attachments in the U.S. About a third of the firm's sales are in public works such as bridges, buildings and utilities.
