PREVISION OF CONVERGENCY IN HIGHWAY TUNNELS USING DILATOMETER TESTS IN LIEGE (BELGIUM). LARGE ROCK CAVERNS - PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM, HELSINKI, FINLAND, 25-28 AUGUST 1986. VOLUME 2

Assuming the rock mass is a burgers body, a systematic procedure and the interpretation of dilatometer creep tests permits one to deduce the convergency of a tunnel. The cases of an unlined and lined tunnel which must be drilled in a very fractured sandstone in a hydrostatic stress field are examined. For the covering abstract of the symposium see IRRD 810647.
