CONTINUOUS REINFORCED CONCRETE SURFACINGS IN BELGIUM - VOLUME 5 PAVEMENT DESIGN PRINCIPLES AND METHODS OF CONSTRUCTING REINFORCEMENT PANELS

LES REVETEMENTS EN BETON ARME CONTINU EN BELGIQUE- FASCICULE 5 PRINCIPES DE CONCEPTION ET MODES DE REALISATION DES PANNEAUX D[ARMATURES

This report outlines principles of reinforcement calculations for continuous reinforced concrete surfacings and gives details of longitudinal reinforcement, the calculation of the percentage of longitudinal steel reinforcement, spacing and width of cracks, transverse reinforcement, qualities and characteristics of the reinforcement, elastic limit, mean adhesive stress measured by means of the pull-out test, quality of welding, geometric characteristics, method of constructing reinforcement panels, steel fabric welded in the factory, support for reinforcement panels, level of the reinforcement in the surfacing and height of the supports. An appendix presents plans of typical reinforcement for continuous reinforced concrete surfacings. ;TRRL;
