NAVIGATION SYSTEMS. FUNDAMENTALS OF LOW- AND VERY-LOW-FREQUENCY HYPERBOLIC TECHNIQUES

Low-frequency and very-low-frequency hyperbolic navigation systems are becoming of increasing importance in the world community. The three most widely used of this category of systems are Decca, Loran C/D and Omega. The paper describes the fundamentals of each of these systems and the extent of the present and announced planned ground implementation of the Loran C and Omega.
