AN APPROACH TO A DEFINITION AND REPRESENTATION OF THE LEVELS OF SUPPLY OF A SUBURBAN PUBLIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM

APPROCCIO AD UNA DEFINAZIONE E RAPPRESENTAZIONE DEI LIVELLI DI OFFERTA DI UN SISTEMA DI TRASPORTO PUBBLICO EXTRAURBANO

Evaluating the level of service of a public transport system or a part thereof, is an important aspect of the mobility planning process, whether in defining the objectives of the system, or in judging the response of the system to prefixed objectives. This article identifies the "level of supply" as one of many components comprising the "level of service" concept. This component is analysed by itself, and considered solely from the point of view of the supply product, excluding the supply consumed or sold. (TRRL)
