AN OPERATIVE PROPOSAL FOR CALCULATING THE ECONOMIC PRODUCTION COST OF A PUBLIC TRANSPORT

UNA PROPOSTA OPERATIVA PER IL CALCOLO DEL COSTO ECONOMICO DI PRODUZIONE DI UN SERVIZIO PUBBLICO DI TRASPORTO NELLA REGIONE TOSCANA

This study develops an operative procedure for evaluating the cost of production of a local public transport service. The region studied is Toscana, Italy, and the calculations are based on the criteria laid down in the regional regulations (LR 1/84 and 14/84). The procedure is compared with the methods and criteria adopted in other regions. Detailed analyses are supported by tables and graphs. (TRRL)
