NOISE AND VIBRATION PROBLEMS IN RAILWAYS
This article describes the principal types of vibration problems using factual examples from rolling stock, the infrastructure and the environment of the railway, and develops a mathematical model which includes vehicle, infrastructure and environmental behaviour. In conclusion the article describes some anti-noise and anti-vibration systems adopted in France and other countries. (TRRL)
