THE PRESENT AND FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF FORMS OF COOPERATION IN THE SPHERE OF SHORT DISTANCE PUBLIC TRANSPORT
ZUR BISHERIGEN UND KUENFTIGEN ENTWICKLUNG VON KOOPERATIONSFORMEN IM OEPNV, 1. TEIL
The different modes of transport in heavily populated areas must work together if more people are to be encouraged to use public transport. Associations, which take different forms in different areas, are being set up to work out timetables and fares. The way the work is divided up between the association and the different partners, as well as the organization of the service themselves, is extremely important. The latter task is illustrated using examples from the Federal Republic of Germany.
