A LIMITED STUDY ON THE ELASTICITY OF DEMAND IN RELATION TO PRICE IN INTERURBAN TRANSPORT

UN ESTUDIO LIMITADO SOBRE ELASTICIDADES DE DEMANDA AL PRECIO EN EL TRANSPORTE INTERUBANO

The elasticity of demand in relation to the price should be the most important factor affecting the tariff policies of both public and private transport undertakings. The results of the study are similar to those of studies carried out in other European countries. Although the methodology has been simplified and this may give rise to significant discrepancies in the results, the conclusions of the study may prove to be interesting.
