A SECOND GENERATION OF CHOPPERS ON THE RATP

UNE DEUXIEME GENERATION DE HACHEURS A LA RATP

After summarising the functions of a chopper, the authors describe first-generation choppers (control of MF77 and MI79 traction motors), explain why a new generation was developed and go on to describe second-generation choppers (power circuits, microprocessor controlled digital servosystems, maintenance techniques) to be used on second-generation MF77 and M184 motors.
