ELECTROMECHANICAL TENSIONING DEVICE FOR OVERHEAD CONTACT LINES

An electromechanical retightening device is described which has conventionally been used for some years as accessory for railroads of passenger local traffic or main lines. The device comprises essentially a spring package with cylindrical configuration that is arranged between two circular bracket plates. The device is so designed that it exerts a nominal stress of 8, 10 or 20 kN, respectively.
