GEN II CALLED MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH FOR NGV'S
In a day-long industry seminar at the Harbour Castle Hilton Hotel, CNG Fuel Systems Ltd. announced a major technological breakthrough in NGV commpoentry. GEN II incorporates electronic fuel injection and onboard computer-controlled sensor devices to continuously monitor and adjust the vehicle's operating systems. The result is vehicle performance on NGV "undistinguishable from the gasoline mode," says Carter. Sensor devices adjust air and gas flow, measure engine temperature, provide enhanced fuel efficiency, starting and idle quality. The need for mechanical adjustments is significantly reduced and the gasoline mode is not affected. (Author)
