COMPLETE STRESS-STRAIN CURVE FOR CONCRETE IN CONCENTRICAL COMPRESSION

Concentric loading tests of cylindrical specimens were performed to obtain the complete stress-strain curve. The shape of the complete stress-strain curve is strongly dependent on the size of the specimen, strain measuring length and frictional restraint at the end surface. Numerical approximations proposed by other investigators may only be applicable to a certain strength level of concrete. (A)
