EVOLUTION OF THE CPVC BLOWN-UP (ENLARGED) CYCLE STRIP IN ENSCHEDE
EVALUATIE CPVC-OFOS IN ENSCHEDE
The Ofos, the blown up or enlarged cycle strip, was introduced for the first time in the City of Leyden. Two juridicial imperfections were later found. In the municipality of Enschede a test Ofos was constructed without these imperfections, but that Ofos did not fulfill the requirements so other enlarged cycle strips were constructed and tested. The best one has a guiding cycle track witth a red pavement, a cycle symbol in the pavement and a traffic sign. The legislation should be adapted to include the new layout. (TRRL)
