SAE/DOT FUEL ECONOMY ADVISORY COMMITTEE UPDATE
The SAE/DOT fuel economy committee was formed in 1975 for the purpose of developing recommended practices and information reports for the measurement of fuel economy of vehicles and their components. The paper details the objectives and findings of various committees and concludes with a listing of SAE documents developed as a result of the study.
