NEW TRACK SUBSTRUCTURE USED IN RAILWAY TUNNELS
This paper deals with the new track substructure used in this and other countries. Here the behaviour of various types of track substructure are fully described. By the aid of technical and cost analyses made, the authors recommend that it is quite adaptable to use concrete sleeper plates in railway tunnels. Further suggestions as how to use concrete bed substructure in tunnels are also mentioned with a view to remedy deficiencies properly and efficiently.
