TWO-TIER COACHES IN THE WORLD
The author outlines briefly the history of two-tier coaches throughout the world and adds that the first ones date from the very beginning of the railway. He continues by giving the general characteristics of these coaches before considering in greater detail the development, mainly in Europe, since early in the fifties. He then describes the design of these coaches in other European countries and outside Europe.
