THE MAINTENANCE OF RAILWAY TRACKS: THE CORRECTION OF CURVES BY AN ANALYTICAL METHOD

MANUTENZIONE DELLE STRADE FERRATE: LA CORREZIONE DELLE CURVE CON METODO ANALYTICO

One of the most important problems relative to the maintenance of railway tracks is that of correcting the curves -eliminating the irregularities or deformations of track curvature caused by the repeated application of uncompensated centrifugal force from the passage of the trains. The analytical approach presented here, and illustrated by applicative examples, is based upon algorithms well suited to the use of a computer. (TRRL)
