LOGICA, STRUTTURA ED ORGANIZZAZIONE DELL'OFFERTA DI TRASPORTO COLLETTIVO

The connotations of supply for road and rail services have some basic similarities, allied essentially to the overall organisation of transport; but they differ substantially in certain functional aspects: trains operating on medium to long distances at higher commercial speeds, while buses are more adapted to short, more torturous runs at low commercial speeds. This paper is intended as a contribution to the interpretation and evaluation of transport services rendered to the user and identifies areas where improvements could be made in level of service, and therefore in productivity.
