INVESTIGATIONS OF CEMENT CLINKER GRINDABILITY USING DROP-WEIGHT TESTS AND ITS RELATION TO TUBE MILL PERFORMANCE
Mathematical models are increasingly used in the study of crushing and grinding operations. In this paper, progressive crushing of particles in beds of cement clinker using a drop-weight apparatus is described in terms of Breakage and Selection Functions. Experimental results are then investigated and empirical parameters compared with those of open circuit cement milling. It is shown that these functions can be practical means of mill performance evaluation.
