ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF ROADWORKS GUIDELINES FOR LOCAL AUTHORITIES
The objective of the guidelines is to create an awareness of the effects that road projects may have on the environment, to enable local authority officers to assess those effects, and to enable the negative effects to be minimised and the positive effects maximised. Practical methods are emphasised. An environmental assessment form, with a checklist on the reverse side, is included. This alone is sufficient documentation for many roadworks, but it also indicates those projects on which further information is required. (Author/TRRL)
