IT'S NOT THE FIRST COLLISION THAT HURTS...IT'S THE SECOND COLLISION
Every accident results in a multiple collision--the first occurs when the car smashes into something and the second occurs when the driver hits the steering wheel and the dashboard. There is always a second collision due to the law of inertia, which states that an object will keep moving in a straight line until something stops it. This article examines the difference in being stopped by the car's interior and being stopped by a seat belt--a difference that could mean life or death.
