CONCRETE ROAD IN VILLAEHDE

BETONGVAEG I VILLAEHDE

A 2.4 km concrete test road has been built in Villaehde, Finland. To preserve riding quality, renewal of the surfacing is anticipated after 20 and 35 years. On account of this, the thickness of the pavement has been increased from the designed 180 mm to 220 mm. A service life of 50 years is predicted. (Author/TRRL)
