TURBULENT FLOW OF INELASTIC NON-NEWTONIAN FLUIDS IN PIPES

The turbulent momentum transport theories in pipes are discussed. The most complete Gill and Scher theory is compared with the non-Newtonian data on power law, non-power and Bingham plastic fluids. It has been shown that the Newtonian turbulent theory can be applied to non-Newtonian fluids also.
