LRT'S PASSENGER MARKETS: A REVIEW AND ANALYSIS
This report aims to give a broad view of public transport travel trends over the last fifteen years. Rail traffic levels were little changed over this period, but bus traffic levels, despite the granting of free travel to pensioners, were down overall by some 20%. The report examines the role of the major economic variables and the contribution of London transport policies. The principal submarkets are examined separately, and an attempt is made to assess future prospects and the policy priorities for each area. (TRRL)
