DEVELOPMENT OF AN ENGINE FOR METHANOL OPERATION
The project engine came from a standard engine with two carburetors. High engine efficiency was achieved and energy consumption was reduced by 15% in comparison with rodinary gasoline engine. The emission of exhaust components was below the limits. The cold weather starting system was complicated. Extraordinary wear of piston rings bearings and valve seats was observed after 30,000 km.
