PROJECT MANAGEMENT WITH PYPSCAN
Pypscan is the Department's Automated Management Information System that has been on-line since the summer of 1980 -- the system base is at the project level where timeline schedules and manpower requirements are automatically calculated. Pypscan has been designed to forecast, report, and monitor capital outlay related resources needed to develop and deliver the Department's multiyear capital program -- resources are time, dollars, and personnel. They can be reported on from the project activity through statewide program levels. This training session will explain Pypscan concepts, how they work, and provide some "Hand-On" experience in performing calculations. It will also discuss management reports produced from Pypscan which are directed at the information needs of managers at every level from the Project Manager through Department Director. (Author)
