TRANSPORT UK 1985. AN ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND POLICY AUDIT

This is the first of a series of yearbooks intended to provide a forum for regular and critical appraisal of all aspects of transport provision, operation and use within the four countries of the United Kingdom. It will consider both public and private sectors, the interaction between them, the effects of government programmes and other aspects of the total UK economy. The current yearbook comprises a number of articles or reports in each of two main sections denoted monitoring section and audit section respectively. The subjects considered in the monitoring section are: Departmental Forecasts, Resources Going into Transport, Financing Transport, Local Transport Subsidy 1973-1985 (Gwilliam,K); Is Transport Geeting Better or Worse?
