THE GARDINER'S CREEK ROUTE: A CASE STUDY IN URBAN ROAD DECISIONS
The paper reviews the history of proposals related to a roadway in the Gardiner's Creek Valley (Melbourne) over nearly sixty years. It focuses on the decision-making process, and the political and planning contexts within which road planning decisions have been made. The interaction between political decisions and professional responsibility and judgement is stressed. (Author/TRRL)
