NATIONAL ROAD TRAFFIC FORECASTS (GREAT BRITAIN): DECEMBER 1984
The government uses national forecasts of traffic growth in assessing trunk road schemes. These forecasts are revised from time to time, and this memorandum supersedes the National Road Traffic Forecasts (NRTF) issued in July 1980. The new forecasts contained herein use observed 1982 traffic levels as their base and take account of trends in traffic and vehicle stock extending 10 to 30 years back from this date, depending on the class of traffic.
