The report presents papers from the conference: "optimal heavy vehicles" held in Stockholm on the 4th and 5th of September, 1984. The objective of the conference was: (a) to present the current development and to discuss future heavy trucks from a technical point of view; (b) to demonstrate complete vehicle components and; (c) to discuss the influence of laws and regulations on traffic safety.
