AN APPARATUS FOR MEASURING THE SHRINKAGE CHARACTERISTICS OF PLASTIC MORTARS
An apparatus designed primarily to measure shrinkage forces developed in a restrained specimen of cement paste or mortar is described. On the basis of tests carried out, it is concluded that the apparatus may be used to assess qualitatively the tendency for mortars to form plastic shrinkage cracks./TRRL/
