THE INFLUENCE OF A FLAT VERTICAL NETWORK OF DRAINS (WELLS) ON THE SEEPAGE DISCHARGE THROUGH A PREVIOUS MEDIUM LOCATED UNDER AN IMPERVIOUS MASS IS BEING STUDIED BY MEANS OF A TWO- DIMENSIONAL ELECTRIC ANALOGY IN A SOLID CONDUCTOR. THE FOLLOWING VARIABLES ARE CONSIDERED: DISTANCE BETWEEN THE AXES OF THE DRAINS, DIAMETER OF DRAINS AND DISTANCE FROM THE AXIS PLANE TO A WALL OF THE IMPERVIOUS MASS IN RELATION TO THE LENGTH OF THE MASS PARALLEL TO THE DIRECTION OF SEEPAGE. RESULTS GAVE QUANTITATIVE DATA ON INCREASE IN SEEPAGE DISCHARGE UPSTREAM OF THE NETWORK, DECREASE IN SEEPAGE DISCHARGE DOWNSTREAM, AND AMOUNT EVACUATED BY THE DRAINAGE NETWORK. THE RESULTS ARE SHOWN AS NON-DIMENSIONAL DIAGRAMS FOR EASIER USE.
