HET GEBRUIK VAN STEENFUNDERINGEN IN NEDERLAND

THE WORKING PARTY F3 "COHESIONLESS STONE BASES" OF THE RESEARCH CENTRE FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION SCW HAS MADE AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE USE OF GRANULAR ROADBASES IN THE NETHERLANDS DURING THE LAST FEW YEARS. A SURVEY OF THE INFORMATION OBTAINED, PARTLY COLLECTED FROM THE ANSWERS TO INQUIRY HELD BY THE WORKING PARTY ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, IS GIVEN IN THIS ARTICLE. IT APPEARS THAT, IN MODERN ROAD BUILDING TOO, BASES CONSTRUCTED OF GRANULAR MATERIALS PRESENT AN ATTRACTIVE ALTERNATIVE TO BITUMINOUS OR CEMENT BOUND STRUCTURES, FROM AN ECONOMICAL AS WELL AS A TECHNICAL POINT OF VIEW.
