TENSILE PROPERTIES OF EARLY-AGE CONCRETE

Research on the tensile properties of early-age concrete is indispensable for making clear the mechanisms of cracking, deformation, and tensile creep in concrete at an early age. This paper includes two themes: First, a new tensile test apparatus for early-age concrete designed by the authors; Second, the tensile properties of early-age concrete- mainly the tensile strength and the tensile stress-strain curve-which were observed in tests using the new apparatus.
