STRENGTH IMPOSED LIMITATIONS ON ADMIXED CALCIUM CHLORIDE CONTENT OF CONCRETE

Compressive strength tests on mortars containing two typical South African cements indicate that early strength gain is accelerated by all dosages of admixed-calcium chloride up to the maxium tested, viz 15 percent by mass of the cement content. At later ages, however, compressive strength declines sharply when the dosage exceeds about four percent. /Author/TRRL/
