NBAA FUEL RESERVATION SYSTEM BEGINS OPERATION

This system which is intended as a conservation measure to help save the nation's petroleum supplies, and which is supported by eight general aviation associations in conjunction with NBAA, allows a pilot to reserve his anticipated fuel needs 96 hours in advance. The reservation system may be used by any general aviation aircraft operator and is not confined to NBAA members. The system which will promote good flight planning and minimize fuel uncertainities, is a voluntary and cooperative method for all general aviation aircraft operators and other vendors of fuel to obtain and sell fuel with the greatest efficiency. Any actions resulting in real or implied discriminatory tactics are expressly forbidden by the program both in spirit and practice. The NBAA has an information program which it is hoped will bring many FBO's into the reservation system.
